Note: This is not an official Web site of the Northeast League, nor has this site been endorsed by the Northeast League.
The Northeast League is one of several independent minor leagues to come onto the scene in recent years. The Northeast League had its inaugural season inn 1995 with six teams in upstate New York. The league had six teams in 1996 as well, but had expanded its reach to include Rhode Island and Maine. In 1997 the league has expanded to eight teams, including two expansion franchises and two teams from the former North Atlantic Baseball League. This page is designed to provide some basic information on the league for Internet users, as the Web resources for the league are few and far between.
