Christopher J. Baker
President and Chief Executive Officer
Christopher J. Baker is the president and CEO of KLX Energy Services, a position he has held since KLX merged with Quintana Energy Services (QES) in 2020. Baker carries over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Previously, Baker served as QES’ president and CEO and was a member of the Board of Directors. Throughout his career, Baker has held various executive roles, including managing director of oilfield services for Quintana Capital Group; senior associate for Citigroup Global Markets Inc.; and vice president of operations for Theta II Enterprises, Inc. Baker attended Louisiana State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and Rice University, where he earned a master’s of business administration.
Keefer M. Lehner
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Keefer M. Lehner is the executive vice president and chief financial officer of KLX Energy Services, a position he has held since July 2020. As a co-founder of Quintana Energy Services (QES), Lehner served as the executive vice president and CFO prior to merging with KLX. He also held executive roles, including vice president within Quintana Capital Group where he was responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing investments, as well as managing and monitoring the activities of Quintana’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining Quintana, Lehner worked in the investment banking division of Simmons & Company International, focusing on mergers, acquisitions and capital raises for public and private clients engaged in all facets of the energy industry. Lehner attended Villanova University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance.
Max L. Bouthillette
Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer
Max L. Bouthillette is the executive vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer of KLX Energy Services. Previously, Bouthillette served as executive vice president, general counsel, chief compliance officer and corporate secretary of Quintana Energy Services (QES) since the company’s IPO. Bouthillette was also a member of QES LP’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining QES, Bouthillette held roles with Archer Limited, where he was executive vice president and general counsel and additionally as president for Archer’s operations in both North America and South America. Bouthillette has more than 24 years of legal experience for oilfield services companies, including executive roles with BJ Services, Baker Hostetler LLP and Schlumberger. He holds a bachelor’s of business administration degree in accounting from Texas A&M University and a juris doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center.
Geoff Stanford
Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer
Geoff Stanford serves as the senior vice president and chief accounting officer at KLX. He is responsible for overseeing our accounting operations, financial reporting and strategic direction of financial initiatives across the company. Before joining KLX in 2018, Stanford served as vice president of accounting at Amedisys Home Health & Hospice and as vice president and chief accounting officer at Willbros, where he led corporate accounting initiatives. His career also includes key roles at The Shaw Group and Albemarle Corporation, where he focused on corporate operations and financial management. Stanford earned a master’s degree in accounting and finance from Tulane University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Louisiana State University.
John Horgan
Vice President, Operations
John Horgan has been serving as vice president of operations at KLX since July 2020. With over 35 years of industry experience, the majority of his career was spent at Halliburton, where he held various engineering, sales and operational roles across the US, the Middle East and Europe. Throughout his career, Horgan has led global teams in account management, business development and operations. Before merging with KLX in 2020, he led the Completion and Production Services division at QES. Prior to that, Horgan held leadership positions in business development and operations, focusing on global PVF distribution, US onshore production support and well servicing. Horgan received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas in civil engineering and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Douglas Barnette
Vice President, HSE
With over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas service industry, Douglas Barnette serves as vice president of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) for KLX Energy Services. He is responsible for overseeing all phases of the company’s HSE program. Barnette has held HSE leadership roles at Weatherford International and Bayou Well Services. Barnette brings a dedicated commitment to the health and safety of every KLX employee. His guidance and insight enables KLX to protect the environment while minimizing risk to the company through the utilization of a comprehensive HSE management system and applying industry best practices to the company’s day to day operations.
Jay Survant
Vice President, Human Resources
Jay Survant is the vice president of human resources at KLX, a role he has held since 2014. With over 20 years of experience in HR and organizational development, Survant leads KLX’s HR strategies, including talent management, employee engagement and workforce optimization. Prior to joining KLX, he served as vice president of human resources at Stallion Oilfield Services, where he managed a wide range of HR functions and was instrumental in employee benefits design and talent management. Survant also held key roles at Talent Tree Crystal, Inc. and Accenture, where he specialized in talent management and project management. He holds a master’s degree in industrial organizational psychology from St. Mary’s University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Texas A&M University.
